Memory Lane

I saw this on my sisters blog and thought it would be fun.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together.
It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot. Anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people
leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty fun to see the responses.
If you leave me a memory about me, I'll check if you are playing the game
and I'll come to your blog and leave one to you.
It's easy just try it.

I remember playing drive-thru at the bay window in the house with the red roof. We popped the screen out and you and Syd and your friends would give us your lunch orders - pb&j with chips coming right up!

And who can forget that time a piece of the fence impaled the back of your throat (right through your mouth - ack!)

Wow...where should I start? There are so many!

I think my absolute favorite memory of you is when we were on the boat together and it was just you and me up in the front. We sat and chatted about anything and everything. It was so nice, no kids or husbands, no worries, just two friends on the boat in the sun. I miss those days!

One of my favorite memories is when you would get sheets and blankets and I would stand on the little black stool. You would dress me up and make me fashionable. It was so much fun. I have always loved going in your closet and dressing up like you.

I will share my funniest memory of you...

My memory of you would have to be when we shared the basement in Jenn's house. Seeing you react to a spider in your room (or anywhere else) was priceless. You were so freaked!

Fun post. Love ya!

My first memories of you are when I met you and you were just so cute (pretty), I was glad you were John's girlfriend.
2nd memory, you decorating Easter eggs with us when you came to meet us and putting us all to shame with your beautiful eggs.
3rd.
How you looked after a day of student teaching at Orr Middle School. Outside P.E. in 112 degree weather. Remember one of your students was stabbed on his way home. What an education for the teacher.

I'd have to say the time you tatted up my back with all those tattoos is my most fond enemy. I always thought you were cool but that really impressed me. As Johnny's brother you should know the feeling of pen on one's skin feels extremely good for some reason. And you draw the best duck i have ever seen! Good work Kelsburg!

Hmmm.......

Something that always stands out for me are the compliments (yes plural) that you've given me about my athletic prowess. Once when we were running (slow jog) on Mockingbird you said I had surprised you with how tough I was and that I probably could've been an athlete (that meant A LOT!!! ; )---also nice stuff you've said about my rock climbing.

Sounds cheesy but I have really appreciated these compliments!

Memory....

For some reason I always go back to the helpless look on your face in Chinatown when you look completely browbeaten and powerless to say no to ANY vendor. I just stand out on the street looking in at you laughing!

Oh, and the night you watched one of my babies when you lived in the basement and we came back and you had had a TERRIBLE time shutting the crying up. Your description of trying to sing the words of songs you didn't know while bouncing around the floor to quiet the baby--still makes me giggle.

Too many to choose just one but i remember we were always competing at everything. I worked you at most everything but i could never catch you in a foot race! I still makes my crazy madd when I think about it.
And then of course they trick you taught me on the way to high school when we got stuck in a line of traffic at the 4-way stop and you swerved into the left lane cruised down turned left, flipped a U and then turned left again. A sweet move which I still use today!

I remember it was New Years Eve 1999. We were all in Parowan for the 2000 extravaganza. We were at Marsha and Charlie's (whose he?) and we all started playing games, you became "big bootie" only you couldn't pronounce "big booty" to save your life, it was so funny watching you try. I laughed SO hard, I couldn't believe it, it felt so good to laugh that hard, and I have you to thank for it.

Other than that, countless memories of how nice you've been to me and my family. Love ya!

I loved our rock climbing nights in the barn. Those were fun times. Talk Jen into doing that again.

Oww the good old days it is fun to think through some of our best memories. The two I like the best are our trip to Idaho. 6 people in a 5 person jeep 8 hrs. nothing but good times. Then I also remember how nice you and Johnny were and brought us dinner twice when I was soo sick with Maycee true friend. And of course our trip to Baltimore where we all went to sell and you never came home :(

I remember being so excited to go and hang out in Parowan with you and Johnny. It was always a blast and it made Parowan so much more fun :) Miss you and the fam. Katie

One favorite memory that has not dulled with time is when about 5 yrs. You were sitting up to the bar at lunch time and seemed to be thinking very hard. You looked up and asked me, "Who decides when we die, Mom?" I said that Heavenly Father did and your response was, "Where do you think He is going to start?" Maybe it doesn't seem so funny to you but the picture that came to my mind when you asked that was quite funny. I never new what you would say next.

I also remember when you were quite young and we had a Family Home Evening lesson on Pride and what Pres. Benson said about how important it was to avoid getting caught up in it. I wasn't sure you were even listening but the next day you can home from school and the first thing you said was, "Whew! You know mom, pride is everywhere!" You always thought deeply about big things and it continually surprised and amused me! Love, Mom

Kelley do you remember when I talked you into letting me cut your hair? I took a huge chunk of bangs and chopped them right down to the roots.Part of the deal was then you would be able to cut my hair..what was I thinking, I assumed you would cut my hair in the same place as yours. But alas you cut my hair to the roots right at my crown. All of 9th grade I spent each morning spraying down the regrowth with hairspray...
