Superhero Christmas

I went a bit themed this year. The boys all got superhero piggy banks, pj's, and quilts. They absolutely loved it all though. It took a lot of really late night hours and hard work from Me, my Mom, my sister Kenna and especially my sister Corrie to finish these in time for Christmas. I would like to tell you all that helped thank you so so so much. I owe Natalie a big thanks for stiching around the emblems they look great. Also sorry I brought such a big project home for Christmas I had no idea how hard and intensive making quilts would be. (Lesson learned) They turned out very cute though. The backs are made of this minky material that is so soft, and the sides are lined with the satin edge which also feels so good. (great idea Mom) These were definitly not the cheapest blankests but it was worth it. The boys absolutely love them and sleep with them every night. When George opened his he gave me the double pump with his arm and yelled spider man blanket awesome, thanks so much mom I love it. They carry them all around and use them when they want to get cozy. I am really glad we all stuck with it. As for the pj's George has worn his pretty much every night since he got them, and the other two have got plenty of use as well.

Those quilts are UNBELIEVABLE!!! No wonder the boys died over them. I didn't know you were actually make a quilt--I thought they were more like a blanket. Way to go! I can't believe you didn't ask ME to help! You know my quilting skills are unmatched.

Hey, that would have been a good idea!!Have Jennifer help before you came out! But I do thank you for helping me get such an early start on what is now next year's Christmas project. Next time you all come out I'll start my medication early and then I will be a fun Mom and Grandma. I hope you took away at least a few good memories of being with your family at Christmas time. We love you all and miss you tons. It would be grand if you lived a whole lot closer. Love Mom

Guess I should mention how really cute the blanket quilts turned out. You made such cute emblems--that really made the whole thing work. Another super job dear!

The quilts turned out so cute. Glad that you posted pictures. I love how the same material is spread through all 3 quilts, but they are each different. What a great gift for Christmas, and one that the boys can keep for a long long time.
